Ever Wonder What I Do When I Feel Sick?

All day long I discuss health with my patients. How did they get this way in the first place? What are some other healthy choices they can make? How often should they be stretching, exercising, and how much water should they drink?

I follow the same recommendations I give patients, and occasionally I get tested. This weekend I started coming down with a respiratory problem, not feeling great. So what did I do? I tried to figure out what I could do to help my body get stronger in order to fight off the infection.

I got my spine adjusted, started drinking as much healthy stuff as I could (water, tea), and increased my vitamin intake. Do vitamins kill an infection? Nope. My body will kill the infection, I just try to help my body work as well as it can so that I give it the best chance possible. As opposed to eating poorly and giving my body more things to filter and fight.

For this episode, I also tried acupuncture and frequency specific microcurrent for the same reasons. If the illness is doing its best to overwhelm my body, I want to do everything I can to overwhelm that infection. It’s unreasonable to think that I can just take 1 vitamin and wait to get healthy.

Making healthy choices doesn’t mean you’ll never get sick or that you’ll never feel pain — you should just have fewer episodes. Once an episode hits, double and triple your efforts. Just don’t make things worse by doing unhealthy things just because you don’t feel well.

Hope that helps!
